Covid19 - The unwanted wake up call.

Was this mother nature or something bigger, reminding us that it can all be taken away and we need to open our eyes?

What have we experienced:

We have experienced first-hand that it can all be taken away in a heartbeat, the reset button has been pressed! So the question is what have we learnt, how can we improve and will we become better as a nation after Covid19?

"You don't know what you had until it's gone. Rather, we knew what we had; we just thought we'd never lose it."

I believe as many others Covid19 has truly changed the way we will act forever and I hope the change is only positive.

This globally spread virus has been nothing SHY of a wake up call in many areas of peoples lives; from societies, businesses, communities and much more. So what are we going to learn, what are the main areas that people will re-evaluate and change going into post Covid19.

Think, Change, Commit and Appreciate.

  • Do not take things for granted.

  • Spend more time with loved ones.

  • Support and be grateful for the NHS.

  • Ensure you have a cash safety net.

  • Improve on time management.

  • Move more, sit less.

  • Enjoying home cooking.

  • Be more involved and help your community.

  • Help the elderly.

  • Increase hygiene habits.

"Let us not be the same, but better"

Covid19 is and has been a global nightmare! However in the shadow it has cast, we have also seen light in being apart of historical moments. Moments which will be discussed and taught in our children's History lessons, where the UK Government never seen before, financially backed the whole of the UK economy. The NHS took on a Goliath of a health pandemic and key-workers put their lives on the line daily. The entire stock market falling at free-fall speeds, by-passing the 1929 wall street crash. Entering supermarkets to see empty shelves.

Our eyes were opened to the reality and seriousness, by a never seen before country lock-down. As a result communities have been pulled together across the country and people have been connecting through social distancing and online, helping others where possible.

"Perspective and appreciation for what we had before has certainly been achieved."

I truly hope that we soon see the back of Covid19 and we can all improve and develop on our lives. This really was the unwanted wake up call we all received.
